I just received word from the shop where we ordered our first bogu set that my order has been delayed for a month. Since I opted for a different do mune from the usual design that they had, I’ll be receiving the bogu at the beginning of March instead.

They did offer me the option of getting the standard do mune if I wanted to get it earlier. I chose to wait and get exactly what I wanted. I talked to our sensei anyway about the bogu and she said that we are allowed to wear the do and the tare to get the feel for it already, but it wouldn’t be until March when we would be required to wear the men and the kote.

Makes for good timing anyway and allows me to practice patience, which I don’t have a whole lot of.
